Just mounted the new Seat Concepts kit, came out pretty good:

I'm the first one to order it so Robert at Seat Concepts wants me to be the guinea pig. Didn't get a chance to ride it yet but it definitely has a much wider middle seating area, but still thin across the front near the tank.

I went with the stock height kit, but they do offer a 15mm lower version.

The quality of the cover and stitching is excellent, I went with the gripper top with faux carbon fiber sides. The foam density fells slightly softer than the stock KTM foam, which should be pretty nice compared.

I will report back after the first test ride.

Go ahead and put a fluffy sheep skin on top of it too. :D

You probably use your Husaberg as a dual sport, so I am sure that seat is a big improvement. I'd like something like that for my KTM Adventure, but I'll stand up more on my Husaberg before I did that. 8O

AAMIF, I do use the Berg primarily as a DS, which is why I wanted a more confortable seat. The stock seat is painful IMO, like all KTM seats. Which is why I have an EE seat on my 250 and a Renazco on the 950.

I was just teasing you a bit. Seat Concepts now has a tall seat kit to fit my 950 KTM. I think I might give it a try as well. For the price, at least compared to a Renazco, it seems pretty hard to beat.

Let us know how you like it.

Took the bike out for a long ride this past weekend and the new seat is awesome.

The foam is definitely softer than the stock foam, but not too soft, making long rides much more pleasant. I had been running the Guts Racing soft foam and it was way to soft, I was actually sitting on the pan.

The only problem I have is that the stock height kit it is too tall for me, I should have gone with the low version. Being that I have a 30" inseam, the stock height was a challange for me to get a foot on the ground. I have since sold this seat to a buddy, and ordered the low version from SC.

I would definitely recommend the SC kit.

Looks like a nice set-up. I may have to do that with mine if I get around to tagging it for more dual sport type riding. I am looking for a used stock seaat cover if you happen to want to get rid of your old one. Let me know, thanks!

Unfortuantely the cover on the donor seat I used had some holes in it, something must have been eating it while it was in the shipping container because when my dealer pulled it out of the box it was like that. I managed to get it off of him before he threw it away.

Built my new low version seat since I sold the standard height version to my buddy, I think it came out pretty good:

As nice as the standard version just lower.

Thanks for posting. I have a 31" inseam so I'm interested in a lower seat option as well. How much lower is this seat than the stock seat?

Thanks.

Thanks PABiker, for documenting this; you're documenting both the std and short versions without any other variables is very helpful for those interested in a new seat.
So, once you've had a chance to ride it you'll let us know in this thread how you like the shorter seat then?

My inseam is 30", so I know how you feel.

According to Robert at SC, the low version is 15mm lower than the stock seat, but I would say it's closer to 1".

No problem, glad to help.

I will definitely report back soon, I leave for my annual CO trip in 10 days so I will have plenty of seat time to report on.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Colorado:

My new Seat Concepts seat was the best single upgrade that I have made to the Berg.

No, we trailered out. Just a little too far from Pittsburgh to Colorado to ride. :D

Great pics!
What's your opinion of that trials rear tire both on and off road?

The trials tire worked great on both accounts, it performed flawlessly in both the Ouray and CB/Taylor areas. Only time I had problems was in mud, but there is not much of that out there.
