Rust protection to exhaust pipe

This is a problem to everybody, as to ride through waterm it will get rusty in little time.
There are some sprays to 2-strokes I know that they can spray on and it keeps it protected from rust.
Does anybody know any spray which could help protect the exhaust?

I'm pretty confident in saying the exhaust is stainless on the Husabergs mate! It can sometimes look like rust with baked on mud but it isn't and you shouldn't be worried! Clean it off with a fine grade sanding sponge dipped in water and then Autosol (works a treat!)

It's not mine, but it's one unlucky... I just thought, maybe somebody has any special appliances for preventing such anomaly.: ).

What year is that bike in the picture? Looking at that it does look like rust!
Now I'm confused! Mine is definately stainless (2004)

if you dont mind them being black I have used BBQ paint, comes in a spray can and heat proof up to 600C. Ive used it on exhausts and engines. Home base and B&Q sell it in the UK.

I honestly don't think that's rust. Take a scuff pad to it with warm soapy water and watch that red, burnt mud melt away.

I'll ask about self experience, as you drive through water, then...I have seen mine, at starting there was none of this brown anomaly, I have had water to it only severeal times and it starts appearing on the pipes a bit, so I don't want it to expand.
I'll try to wash it, I prefer not to use sandpaper on it, I guess.
This rust or whatever doesn't kill me ,but if there is a way to prevent it, I'd use it.

Haven't you guys have the same problem, I mean, isn't your exhaust rusty from front where the water splashes frequently?Have you done smth. to get it off?

It is rust and dirt. VHT Header paint works very well. The silver, black or aluminum colors work great. I am tempted to try the blue color, kind of a tribute to the Britten V Twins. I have tried the red, but it instantely turned white at the hot spots.

Primer is not required, but good prep is.

Steel wool removes the baked on dirt. It also gives the pipe a polished look.

A perfect, minimalist, Occam's Razor approach. Thank you for that.

(Although the blue high-temp paint idea is really, really tempting!)
