Hey guys, i've done a search but can't seem to find anyone with a similar issue.
My bike appears to be running lean, occasionally bogs down on throttle pick up and backfires pretty bad when i roll off the trottle, but only seems to become apparent about 20-30 mins into a ride. I've changed the spark plug, so now i think i need to check the fuel system. i want to check the tps settings first, it seems to be the most logical, and easy fix, hopefully. Can anyone tell me the tps settings? I have a akrapovic slip on too. Also the bike has done 160hrs so a injector clean would probably help too.

Any other advice would be helpful

perhaps, is there a common place that they leak from? Or just nip up the bands?

The fuel injection means that all the important bits are computer-controlled. Before you go too deep into the sensors or electronics, it might be worthwhile just checking over the intake to make sure there aren't any cracks, all the joints are tight, gaskets are in good shape, etc.

check for air leak, however everything is sealed pretty tight so can't see an air leak unless you've had a major crash.
I think you will need the competition map for an akra exhaust and that should sort it.
Also take a look at the jd 6x jetting kit, controllable fuel unit, will help a lot as these bikes come too lean from factory to pass emissions tests.

thanks guys, i'm pretty familiar with how the the whole system works, ive had the bike for 4 years now and this is the first bit of greif its given me. It had the tune done when the pipe was fitted. I might look into the JD kit though.

I had a similar problem on my 390 with akra and full pipe header. Had the dealer install the competition map now the backfire on decal and stuttering is gone

Did you add the little inline filter at the injector? I installed one when they first came out (the 10 micron one) and it caused my bike to run lean. It was fine at first, but when the fuel got hot, the filter restricted the flow, making the bike run lean, which made it get even hotter. I had to keep stopping to let the bike cool down. When I got home I removed the filter and all was well again.

If you have the inline filter, replace it or remove it and retest. Otherwise it could be your filter that is in the tank - although I would think it would take a very long time to clog one of those unless you ran some really crappy gas.
