I had the opportunity to attend the ISDE last week in Lake Taupo, N.Z.and would like to share an act of kindness that I witnessed by Husaberg R @ D guru Roland Ohrn.As you may or may not have heard Czech Motoklub member Vaclav Danek had his Husaberg stolen two days before the event start.KTM NZ lent Vaclav a replacement bike to ride but as it was a fe model used as a demo for mx it was a long way from passing tech inspection and he was given only an additional five hours to modify the bike and pass tech to be able put his bike in the park ferme".
Roland was working on one of the Swedish teams preride bikes when Vaclav and his interpretor arrived and explained their plight to him.Without a moments thought Roland asks what they need, goes to their pit and checks out the bike and immediatly starts piling up the parts from his inventory that they needed. There were a lot of parts, muffler, complete wiring harness, lights, switches and on and on.One part he needed he did not have and said no problem it is the same on KTM and personnally went and took the part from the KTM camp. Only when he was satisfied that they had every thing they needed did he leave them.No money changed hands.
Roland is a class act and I admiit it made me feel good about this brand......nsman
