I'm having these made for me by Royal Rods of Taiwan. They should be with me in about two months. This will be about the 6th design I've had done with them.
350/400 and long stroke early 501 rod
1994-2000 501 rod
600 rod
501/550 rod 2001-2004
650 rod 2001-2003
I had an Italian customer send me photos of a failed 650 rod in his 2001-2003. I never got to the bottom of what happened as he never asked for money, he didn't blame the rod or me, he just showed a photo of a snapped rod and left it at that. I wrote to him asking him to;
sort his **** out OFFSCREEN and with me first
could I have the broken rod back to be assessed?
what was it used for and how did it happen?
how many hours?
other than this, all these rods amounting to 100+ sold have all given excellent service. Should be for sale for around £250-300/Euro 275-330.
So we should have those rods available in early March for sure.
In the meantime, I have one OEM rod left with 10 hours on it. obviously it is 'like new'.
