Anybody tell me how many rollers (pins, needles whatever you call them) should be in the rocker tip bearings and if there is a difference in the quantity between the early and late model bearings?

Coops

From -03 and on there are 15 needles in each bearing and 0,5 mm smaller "pin" compared to the old type.A few more but thinner needles in the old type of bearing i believe.

Thanks guys but there's some different info going on here.
In the doc it says the pin got bigger on the newer models - increased from 7.6mm up to 8mm with smaller needle diameter.
Is this right or the other way around?

Coastie,
My 03 on rockers(the ones with the round peen/press mark on the pin ends) have the 7.6mm diax 16.00mm long centre pin.
The needle rollers for these rockers are 7.65mm long by 1.95mmdia.
The cam follower roller is 7.93mm wide by 17.91mm dia

These dimensions were done with verniers, not mikes, on 50hr old parts so will not be totally acccurate but will be very close.

If you need the part nos for the later model 03 on replacement rollers/bearings only and not the whole rocker assy. just say so, but I think they are in the Owners Doc??.

Hope this helps.
