rocker arms

on my 2003 fe400 just done the tappets,on the inlet there is no endfloat on the on the rocker arm but on the ehaust there is some endfloat is this right,nothing looks worn but looking i bet you could put a shim in to stop this or should it be like that? :shock:
 
if yer speaking of side to side, it is adjusted by loosening (not removing) the bolt that goes thru the rocker shaft and gently tapping the end of the shaft with a hammer til you get the proper clearance.

....and the same in reverse. if they are too tight, undo the bolt that goes through the shaft about 1 turn and then just lever the rocker out towards the black cap moving it sideways.
