Stretch, I'm interested in your reasons for doing this. I'm thinking that you must do most of your riding seated - gravel roads and jeep trails.

I think id rather pick my husaberg seat out of my *** crack for days after after a good ride than ride with that thing bolted to my bike but each to their own i guess

I have two seats. I purchased an extra stock Husaberg tall seat when I bought the bike that I will use off road and on the trails.
I used the original seat to make this seat which will be used more for dual sport adventure riding with more road miles. I occassionally do dual sport rides with http://www.sierranevadaadventures.com and it is common for me to put on 220 during the day. The stock seat sure gets uncomfortable after awhile.
This seat doesn't limit my riding mobility on the trails as I can still stand up on the pegs or lean back over the rear tire. On my Husqvarna TE630 I could ride 120 miles comfortably (limited due to amount of gas in the tank).

It looks like a Harley

Yeah, it does sort of look like a Harley seat. The Harley riders love it. Rick makes alot of seats for adventure long distant riders who want more comfort. He is pretty well know for the quality of the foam he uses, the style and the stitching pattern which results in a very comfortable seat.

This seat was less than $300 which is a bargain for a custom seat. He priced my seat as a Small Solo Seat.

I just filled up the tank and took the FE570 out for a ride around the back roads of Amador county to test the new Rick Mayer seat. The low fuel light went on at 81 miles and I pulled into the gas station at 90 miles. My bottom side was still feeling good. After gasing up and getting back on the bike after about 5 minutes, I felt fresh. The seat is very comfortable and it would make a good adventure touring seat, especially with a better road tire and higher gearing. I am running the stock Metzler tires and 13/48 sprockets.

seats can get much uglier than that, especially $30 home jobs with foam, vinyl and a staple gun. :)

that's a decent sized tank bag on the berg, t stretch. just wondering what you did the fuel cap breather as it looks like the bag covers the fuel cap? i wouldn't mind moving my tank bag over the fuel cap for more sitting room on the bike but figured i'd have to put a 90 degree elbow joint in the breather hose if the bag is going to sit on top of it.

Hey T stretch
As you know these bikes make a great light weight dual sport
That seat would improve on high milage comfort, for sure
looks great
