Recently rewired all the accessories (headlight, tail / brake lighst, signals, horn, key, heated grips, voltmeter, etc) on my 05 FE550e. Didn't touch the ignition related wiring. Installed the Trail Tech high output regulator/rectifier so now all accessories run off of DC / battery. Performed the Trail Tech modification to the existing stator which is supposed to increase stator output by about 10%. So far pleased with the results.
Although I am curious how the Trail Tech high output stator would compare / improve power output?
Anyway for what it is worth (if anyone is interested) the following is the wiring diagram I created. I tried to lay it out and referenced it to a diagram of the chassis, handle bars, wheel, etc. greyed in the background. I think it made it a little eadier to read?
The diagram is a little hard to read at this size. Only a little better printed on a single letter sized page. So I split it over 2 letter size pages, printed and taped together. Worked out ok. It would be better if I had access to a plotter though.
Left Half of Diagram
Right Half of Diagram
Keep in mind I used different color wires as compared to stock colors as I beefed up the size of the wiring as well.
Let me know if you find it helpful.
