Does the Husaberg engine have any sort of rev limiter built into the ignition? I find I am winding the engine up a bit on trails when the next corner is close enough that it's not worth shifting into third.
I would believe that the limiter of a top notch competition machine like this is just to prevent the motor from literally exploding in a competition situation where you can't afford shifting gear. There's no second place winner. With the gold medal you can smile while rebuilding the motor afterwards.
For recreational riding most people would not like to lean on the limiter for any longer periods of time, if any at all, or ever...
If you can keep yourself from it.
Regards.
I agree, I never want to find the limiter. If the limiter could be adjusted dowm to a lower RPM setting I'd be real happy. All the talk of main bearing problems makes me want to keep the revs low.
