reset odometer

Since i have my engine regenerated i would like to reset ODOmeter. is that possible?

I have another issues with my odometer: when the bike is not running the odo can't light itself and display shows digits very weakly...i presume the battery has gone, isn't it?
 
I kind of thought resetting the odometer was a no-no, not to mention a no-can-do.

If it was possible I could try to resell my 05 with 9000 miles as having only 200 miles on the clock.
 
No, you cannot reset the main odometer. You could however just not reset the trip 1 or trip 2 odometers if you want to keep track or make log and keep records.

I don't know why the digits would be weak in appearance when the motor is off because the source comes from the main battery. I do notice that there is a place for a small coin type battery under the unit. Don't know if that will help or not. Does it work okay when the motor is running?
 
i removed the main battery and the estart!
i'll try with a new coin battery
