replacing seal ring on secondary shaft

Hi,
Am I able to change the seal ring on the secondary shaft(behind the front sprocket) from outside,I mean without splitting the case?
 
Ive not done this on a berg but the standard way in this setup is to put 3 self tapping screws into the seal through the flat steel thats inside the rubber and attach vice grips to the screws to pull the seal out

you can remove the inner collar first (that sits on the shaft) and the seal may just pop out with a screwdriver or a little hook tool.
