You guys should build in some kind of previsions to allow a rear rack like a pro billet to be mounted to it for guys like me that want to dual sport there bikes.

Okay so here's so here's a little update on the subframe tank.

The deposit has been sent to start construction on the mold.

The tank and will be truly bolt on affair, no drilling, gluing, etc.....

Everything is coming together nicely and I will keep you all posted as soon as I know more. Sorry this update is a little late in coming, but, I have been incommunicado for the last 10 days in New Mexico hunting.

You sir, are the man. Thank you for the update.

Okay,

So here is the latest on the time line for the delivery date on the sub frame tanks is 2 months at the earliest and 4 months at the latest. I will post again when we have a more definite delivery time.

Our website for Seventy Degree Racing is 99.9% complete. As soon as we have the website completed with a rendition of the tank and the plumbing we will start taking pre orders via paypal.

My ex girl friend want's one of these in Pink. Do you think that would be a possibility?

Possible that they can make a subframe in pink, or that you have an ex-girlfriend?
One would definately be more likely than the other

Another update, this one is more substantial............

We expect to take delivery of the first tanks at Seventy Degree Racing the first week of February. Which should translate into a first shipping date of the second or third week of that month. We are hopeful that we can ship the second week of Feb.

The tank material is going to be the same as stock, XLPE or cross linked polyethylene, and will be "natural" in color for easy viewing of the fuel level.

The stock hand grab area is going to be eliminated and used for fuel storage. I figure that there is probably at least .75 liters worth there. With the exception of a small area for the seat release. Capacity is expected to be 1.1 gallons. Further, we plan to make accommodations for the mounting of a "hand grab strap" across the rear of the seat to give the bike a good grab point.

The plumbing between the stock tank and the sub frame tank is going to be with a high quality fuel line with a quick disconnect that shuts off on both sides when it is decoupled.

To attach the fuel line from the sub tank to the main tank, as part of the kit, we will include a machined aluminum plate that will take the place of the stock plastic fuel pump holder plate that is on the bottom of the tank, that will have the fuel line connection on it.

The sub tank will also have it's own fuel cap for faster fueling.

As far as "assembly" goes. When you receive your kit all you will have to do is remove those items currently attached to your sub frame. Set the battery aside and let the wiring loom hang. Change out the bottom fuel pump mounting plate on the stock tank, then mount the battery and wiring loom to the new sub frame, couple the fuel line connector, and button everything up. The fuel lines will already be installed on the sub tank, and the adapter plate. Shouldn't take more than 1 hour at the most, and a 1/2 hour if you are acquainted with your bike.

We have made every effort to produce a product that is of the highest quality, that will be on par with the rest of the bike.

So there you have it! As soon as I have a rendition of the tank I will post it.

Fritz, I'm sure we can make one in pink for you if you have to have it :).
