Replaced head gasket - Now won't run

Can any one help had head gasket go on 650fse checked head seams ok fitted new gasket took her out and went again did not get far at all thanks

Hi uesed a flat edge did nit seam like it was am goin to take it off again not sure if it's been skimmed before it an 03 it did not go in the same place plus had a few people tell me different torqe settings

Did not get far before what?? What happened exactly before the repair and then after the repair? Overheat? Coolant in the oil.....what??

If the cylinder head surface looks and measures to spec,check carefully for detonation marks on the top lip of the cylinder.If the top edge of the cylinder is worn away (round) from detonation head gaskets fail very quickly.

The bike did not over heat it has just blew the gasket out of the head if the head has been skimmed befor could the dowels that locate the head need abit off to
