Who has removed there catalytic converter from there bikes.
If you have, do you need to have the bike remapped etc.

2010 FE450
I just bought a 2010 Husaberg FE450. Its currenly being shipped to me so I havent even seen it.
Bought it in from the USA. Will it come restricted or already opened up?
If its restricted, do I need to send the ECU to get reflashed or should it automatically retune itself (putting on an FMF 4.1 Exhaust)

I love my naturally aspirated Husaberg, especially when the only thing I need to plug in is the fuel pipes. I'll screw with the jetting anyday.

UPDATE, got my 2010 assembles, to my surprise it did not come with the throtle stop or tha catalityc converter insert, or the weired pipe just bellow the exhaust pipe bend. Got my bike in Miami USA, does this mean its not restricted at all? Can I assume I have the open mapping on the ECU?

I haven't taken mine apart, but I am pretty sure there is no throttle stop, and I doubt there is a cat.
There are three EFI/ECU mappings and with a $50 rotary switch (a rip-off really - $50 for a pot switch? !) you can switch between 'beginner', 'standard', and 'aggressive' - or you can make your own switch.

At present working in Congo . ok my presentation is done lets go to my bike and my questions
I have a new Husaberg FE 450 the spect is from EU
1) was a restriction on the acelarator and I removed
2) catalityc convertor also removed
3) I have open the standard silencer and cut of all the restrictions
the bike star perfect and runing with out any problem
I have read all what I can find regarding EFI remap and no one tel me the answer
I jave contact South Afrca dealers and they toll me I WILL DAMAGE THE ENGEIN if I dont remap the EFI
What I must do ?
Did I have really to remap the bike ?
Can I remove the EFI and send it to KTM dealer in South Africa for them to remap ?
Here is no delers at all
