Hi guys,

I wonna try....well, at least I`m thinking about it.....a Rekluse Z-Start auto-clutch on my FC 600.

I ride mostly mx!

Has anybody some experience with this clutch-system? How does it feel? How does it hold up? Does it affect any other mechanical part on lifetime, maybe the gearbox? Is it suitable for MX riding?

Any suggestions or recommendations?

thanks fotr the replies

I had a revloc in my 02-fe501 for 2 years and never had a problem, realy made riding fun. I just put a Rekluse in my Husqvarna last weekend and hopefully will be riding sunday if it's not raining. There was a lot of guys and posts at www.ktmtalk.com and they all loved it, also some posts at www.thumpertalk.com on the Husky TE/TC forums. I got mine from www.roosterperformance.com give em a call, good people. Mine install went simple, need to ride recheck clearances then ride some more.

There is a Revlock for sale in the classified section. I have had great luck with the Revlock. I have a Rekluse as well, so far it has some unresolved issues.

I will put in a plug for the RevLoc auto clutch. I have put on over 9,000 trouble-free miles on two RevLoc equipped big bore KTMs with 100% satisfaction. I have also tested several other bikes equipped with the Rekluse autoclutch. The RevLoc and the Rekluse clutches both engaged smoothly during part throttle operation, however the Rekluse clutches slipped too much under high torque application with big bore high HP four strokes, even following the addition of numerous "tungston carbide" ball bearings to the pressure plate.

I installed a Rekluse on my FE600 this last summer. It is absolutely awsome in the mountains. However I took a trip to the sand dunes and toasted the clutch. The plates already had four years on them so they were probably already past their useful life anyway. I still don't think new plates would hold up very long in the dunes with an autoclutch. There is just way to much torque and slipping going on.
