Rekluse on '08 650

Has anyone out there tried to put a Rekluse on a Berg 650?

Not sure if they make one anymore, or if they ever did?

I know the moto probably has a bit too much power for a Rekluse, but I'm turning mine into a timbersled and a Rekluse would be helpful.

Any info/experience out there?

Thanks.

Brandon

I looked a few years ago after fitting one to my 450. I'm pretty sure that they only listed one up to the 550.
Try getting in touch with the manufacturer and see what they say.

Carl.

on a timbersled? so loaded with wood right?

that can only go wrong. as plumb bob says, they fitted them up to 550.

dont bother Brandon

the diameter of the clutch is too small (about the same as a 125 2T) to get enough lockup forces into the plates at low rpm

it will burn out quickly, there was a thread somewhere with posts from tomtom i think.

the 570 clutch is supposedly ok with a rekluse

bushy is right. i've got a rekluse pro on my '04 650 and you can feel it eating the clutch unless you are at hi revs. the trick is getting to hi revs without a lot of slippage.
they use the regular berg rekluse but sell you additional tungsten balls to eliminate the steels, but it's still not enough. i can nurse mine for a long time since i am now too old to abuse it like i used to.

...Loaded with wood... good one. More like loaded with snow.

I had a revlock auto clutch on my '09 570... ran flawlessly in dirt or SM trim.

When on the snow with the timbersled kit on, the bike will almost exclusively be in the higher rev range... That being said, getting there could be troublesome. The track has the ability to produce infinitely more traction than a dirt or road wheel ever could. So getting off the line might be damaging? :-/

Might be best just to run her o'natrual.

Thanks

Brandon
