1) Must the spring in the clutch slave cylinder piston be removed or not ?

2) In the diagram illustration of the parts there are 2 Bellville washers shown but in the parts list there is only reference made to one and later in the instructions they only mention 1 washer

3) There were 3 wavy spring washers supplied, 2 large ones and one small one , no reference is made to the small one anywhere.

4) The lugs on the recluse do not fit into the basket when installed as per the instructions see picture.

5) With all the friction and clutch plates installed there is not enough clearance for the lugs on the recluse to contact with the basket.

1) do not remove the slave spring
2) 1 bellville washer
3) check the pictures in my gallery for which springs to use.
4) check to see if the basket holes are distortred, I had to dress them with a file.
5) If you are using the steel plate supplied in the kit and it is assembled properly, it should fit.
6) make sure the clutch plates are well lubed with motor oil before assembly.

Thanks , a few more questions. \
once all the plates are packed into the basket do you place the rekluse with its lugs in the same holders of the clutch basket ? or in the alternate one with the half moon shape bottoms like the instructions say ? because mine will not fit into the half moon ones as the rekluse is almost 2mm to big.

As far as I can recall, it will only go together one way. In other words, how ever it fits, thats the way it goes (sorry for not being a little more technical, this is from memory).

Looking at a picture now, yes the pressure plate should fit into the"half moons" as shown. If you use the adjacent slots that the clutch plates fit into the clutch will be engaged all the time (I made that mistake once). On my 04 the presure plate would fit into either slot.

rekluse packaged the wrong parts !!!!
