I bought a '03 wiring, want to fit it to '02 engine, stator and ignition coil seem to fit, but the bike has that regulator which is year 2002, having the wires BROWN and YELLOW coming out. I couldn't figure out do I need a original rectifier with those contact units coming out and would fit nicely to the wiring, if I'm not using the battery and starter, only lights? Thankss

brown is ground, yellow is power. so connect stator yellow (s) to the regulator and tee off to your lights, running them off ac voltage. you don't need a rectifier.
prolly using the only year wiring harness (03) that was set up for dc lighting.

I see, the answere was simple,I don't get the bergs electric stuff that easily, just many different years and rectifier types and units and stuff like that. But this answere you gave me ,seems to explain me much, I will try it out as soon as I get the wiring and going to countryside installing it. Thankya : ))))))))
