Redrill the bleedscrew hole

The threads in the bleedscrew hole are not good, and I can see that the previous owner has fixed it before with thread insert.

I'm thinking of drilling the hole to a bigger dimension (M7 or M8) and making a new screw. Anyone tried this, and what can happen?
