Hi, If one had the option of 5" or 5.5" rim which would be best? The 160 60 Michelin pilot power only just fits, chain rubs on one side and only just clears swingarm on other. Would the wider rim make any difference to this? I would suspect not but would like to hear from someone who has the 5.5" rim. The advantage would be a larger foot print I guess. Cheers spanner.

We that work with Goldspeed have the recomendation that a 160/60-17 works best with a 5.00 rim, it gets a better shape.
For our 165/56-17" you can use a 5.5" wide rim.

We have sold 5.5" carbon wheels to Team Husaberg Sweden, to match with a 16.5" front.
But they dont use 160 wide tire. The side wall on the tire would lean inwards then.

I would use a 5.00" for a 160/60 tire.
