(07 Berg 550FE) First the easy question, in the manual it states to use DOT 5.1 brake fluid but then on the side of the bike (near rear brake reservoir) it says to use DOT 4 brake fluid only...ok, so which one?
Secondly, just bought this bike and took it on first ride and was only riding for about 40 minutes in the mountains, lots of hills, and i was feeling the bike decelerating quickly and i looked back and my rear brake was smoking! I stopped and the brake would not release itself, i would play with the rear brake pedal and it was like the brake piston would not go down or release. I got home and took brake assembly (near the brake pedal) apart and adjusted the brake piston rod then bleed the brakes and it seems to be better, but i have not had a chance to go to the hills and really try it...any thoughts?
I am new to the bergs, but is the radiator fan kit a must? the bike seems to run hot...
I have been doing a lot of reading on here and thumpertalk and getting some good ideas, but any other "must haves" or "must do's" for this bike? Thanks for the help!
