For the most part i've finished the restoration, I have a few more things that need to be done. I stopped at this point so i can ride it some this year. wheels and front forks will be done next year then i'll call it complete. other than painting and powder coating the frame, the motor had the most work done. right now i'm still playing around with the jetting. I have the main perfect with a 180 from a 140, needle still needs dialed in. I am on the second clip from the top and its alittle rich from 2000 rpm to about 5000. when it hits 5 grand tho you had better be holding on. snapped a new stock chain in half last week. now i have an 8500 lbs tensile strength chain on it. intake has been ported and polished along with the head. new wisco piston with some porting done on the port area's of the piston to increase air flow. boysen rad valves with a reed cage spacer, and also a K&N y intake boot. Will respocket the bike this winter also. Plus I added the bassani chambers. i've had it up to 80mph in 3rd gear, not sure what the top speed is yet, think i'll wait till they have an open track day at mid-ohio. any suggestions in sproketing? Right now i have a 17 on the front and a 38 on the rear. was thinking of going to a 18 in front and a 37 in the rear to start. I have alot more horses than i had before, the front will come up fairly easily in 3rd if your getting on it. just thought i would share what I did all winter and spring.

pics i took today are in my gallery named 8-10-08..take a look.

Nice job on the RD.If you use it for track jet it a little rich and work down as these bikes are very sensitive to jetting with pipes and mod intake system. Are you still using the pts ign?
If you plan on running those std (under the pipe ) footpeg mounts and std rear shock lengh be careful as these RD's from the skinny tire era will easily ground these mounts at moderate lean angles and when the rear tire comes down and makes contact with the pavement it can flip you over the high side faster than you can blink.
