I somehow managed to win round 1 in the women's expert class.

By far the dez race put on by Desert MC was the toughest I've ever raced!! Can't wait for round 2 in Feb!

Congratulations DMC knows how to throw a true National caliber event . I have finished many and it definitely is an accomplishment to just finish much less win your class. Good job!

congrats. so some good things do come from hangin' w/ mark
woulda been better on a berg, tho

Outstanding!!!

DMC throws a great race every year. I heard that this year there was a good amount of snow to be found on the course too. I'm sure it was very tough they usually are!!

Congrats!!

I would say that the next best race out in D-37 is the National put on by the 100's MC in October.

I am usally the only guy who races hergs in d-37, at least most of the time, I am 067, I had some problems last year and finished #5 in NHH sen heavy weight ammie. the only other guy on the entry list was P-20 and he was on a berg to. so you must be P 258? but why were you on a KTM ? if you were on a berg you would have done a lot better

Yep, number was P258 and Mark (velo) was P256.

I prefer the KTM 250 2 strokes, lol. They fit my ride style best.

Wow! That is really an outstanding accomplishment LK. Keep this up, and soon Mark will be delegated to being your umbrella man at the pits.

Hay lizardkiller, are you going to do the whole series? DMC was real EZ this year, we did not spend much time in the mountains like in the past. 4-ACES sounds like the 100s from last year, loop 3 will be down the canyon from 2 years ago. just big rocks. You beat joann, 1W from last year. she was parked on the top of the congo line down hill after the pits. I think I saw you ( if you had blue riding gear on ) in the boulders in the deep sand water falls. Idaho sounds like the fun round this year. nice job on the class win, you must be a really good rider to beat her

I think we're gonna try for at 50% of the races to see how things play out. I'll miss a couple rounds due to China Hat and the Idaho City 100.

Wow ... even with an easier DMC course, there were a lot of DNF's. 4-Aces is round 2 right? We plan on racing that one ... and of course the Idaho round.

Yep ... light blue riding gear and on a ktm ... that was me, lol. I was hoping that the top women riders from the series last year would show up. Looks like they did ... I placed 57 spots ahead of Joanna and it looks like Jannean got in 1 lap but ended in a DNF. There were only 3 of us girls who completed the whole course ... the other gal placed a few spots behind Joanna.

I like how they do the 5 row start ... I like being on the first row with the pro's, A's, women's A's and women's B's.

I went into the race with just 2 goals ... to finish and to not break anything, lol. I never expected to place that well in the women's class. I was pretty excited. :bounce3:

Hay lizardkiller, are you the women rider who rode the big bear duel sport ride last june? if it was you did you make the check 5 hill climb or did you get a pussy cat card? I remember a girl on a KTM who did it in 8 hours? was that you?

No, that wasn't me.

Was just looking at the District 37 web site, and the next National H&H is going to be put on by the Four Aces in the Red Mountain area.

It's different than Lucerne where you rode the last one. Seems like there is a bit more clay in the dirt there and the whoops are a bit more abrupt as well as more abundant. Was out there riding last Friday and some of the G outs in the washes are pretty abrupt. If it rains a lot the ground get's really soft, guess that's the clay. Where in Lucerne if it rains a lot it doesn't get so soft.

Best of luck to you!!!
