Radiator cap P/N X-ref?

Does the radiator cap on a '00 FC501 cross-reference to any other automotive application that anyone is aware of? I'm wondering if it's a common size with a common spring rating or anything.

For instance, I know the P/N for the radiator cap on my '89 Yamaha FZR400 crosses with the radiator cap on certain Honda Civic cars. FWIW, the radiator hose P/N crosses with certain hoses from Model 'A' Fords if you can believe that (same bends, apparently).

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a similar phenomenon with '00 Berg caps.

Sorry,
The radiator cap is unique. I have modifed the OE cap to increase pressure and also replaced the radiator spigot / flange with one that will accept the Japanese import caps.
(Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.)

Stant has nothing close, however, they did volunteer to do a short run of 500 for me.

And? Are they going to do it, will you be the source, etc? I'd like a higher pressure rad cap.

I used old aircraft inner-tube in the bottom of the cap to increase the pressure it works very good, well I needed it in the heat over here. I also changed the rad hoses, I custom made them from 01 Husaberg as the are much thicker and stronger than the stock 98 once.

LOL, for Dale to sell 500 caps, every Husaberg owner in the USA would have to buy three!

Actually, the market would be quite a bit bigger. KTM's cap is the same. I forgot to tighten the cap on my Husaberg the other day. I lost it. Went back to camp and stole the cap off my KTM and it fit perfect--same cap.

I believe there is now an aftermarket high-pressure cap for the KTM. The company was advertising on KTMtalk. I'll see if I can find the name. It would fit the Husaberg as well.

Please do. If it's a genuine KTM part, can you get a P/N? I need a new one, mine looks like crap.

Try Subaru and Volkswagen caps. These cars have small engines and radiators, you may find what is needed. I found a Subaru cap worked as a direct replacement on my 96 KTM.

There are no car radiator caps that will work. Not only size, but finding one that is higher pressure is a problem as well. You want at least 1.6 bar.

It was aftermarket, not a KTM part.
