Question on value/resale price of a nearly Brand New 2010 Husaberg FX450

Hey guys,

I have a question and could use some guidance, I own a 2010 Husaberg FX450. It is nearly brand new, the tires still have the nipples on them. It is at 9.2 Hours and 118 Miles. I have the original body kit as well as the black one on it right now.

I bought the bike a few years ago on a whim and 3 kids later I've barely been able to use it. Its been serviced a few times and bled out and refilled between long breaks.

So my question is, with whats gone on with Husqvarna and Husaberg, what's the value of this bike? Will it become collectible or is it just losing value collecting dust?

I'm in the Dallas, TX area.

I am willing to part with it, but want to know a realistic price I can get out of it.

Thanks for any input. I appreciate it.

If it's in as good shape as you say. I'd say a low of $4500 and a high of $5500.00 if you find the right buyer

Well I have the FE450 2010 and if I recall the FX doesn't have lights and has the 4CS forks and a 19" rear tire. I wouldn't pay more than $4500 but that's because I can plate my FE and use it for dual sport rides if I want. But to each his or her own. The X was more of a cross country semi race bike and I believe has stiffer suspension but hey I'm a light weight so GL with selling it and it's unfortunate that you weren't able to ride it much.

If I'm right I think it's a motocrosser better top end power gearbox is close ratio. High 1st & 6th lower then the FE other gears also different. Well used FX's aren't desirable to Me their pretty beat up. But yours has low miles which is good resale wise.

The FX has closed cartridge forks, not 4CS. The tune of the forks on the FX is not stiff at all. The CC fork on this year Husaberg chassis works very very well. That being said, it will not be collectible in any real sense.

I understand it is low time, but to me that doesn't make a gigantic difference. Once someone puts some time on it, it will be worth the same as any other FX (and LadyBerg is right the FEs are worth more). 4500 will buy a lot of bike nowadays. Heck, I paid 5500 for my FX at the end of 2010. There were lots of left over FXs at that time and KTM gave the dealers incentives to blow them out. I'd say IF you can find the right buyer, maybe 4K in our market here in Texas.

Oh, and the FE light harness plugs right into the FX harness so it it is very easy to add lights. It is also nowhere even close to a motocrosser, and the engine is exactly the same as the FE along with the same mapping. It does have a close ratio transmission, which actually works really good off road. I prefer it over the super short first gear transmission on the FE.

I second Johnf3.
"Around 4K"

Like everyone else, I'd guess you're looking at low to mid 4K range on value.
That said, at the end of the day, it's worth as much as you can get for it.
If/When you do decide to sell it, make sure you post it in some supermoto sites.
I've used mine almost exclusively for SM racing, and it's been a great bike.
KTM supermoto wheels go right on.
It's also a GREAT woods bike. Friends who had FE570's said they preferred my bike to theirs on the trails.

Hey guys,

I wanted to chime back in and say a sincere thanks for the tips and the advice. I think I am going ahead and see if I can sell it for what you guys are recommending. If you know of anyone who may be interested, please feel free to reach out.

Thanks and happy riding.
