Hello bergers around the world ,

I wonder if aftermarket accelarator pump cover for FCR can improve performance of engine and works nice generally.I tried to fit one of them but when I install it in my 07 FS650e doesnt work. The engine increases RPM difficult and doesnt work properly.I dont know what goes rong with my berg guys but some friends install it in some KTMs and some CRFs with efficient results.I thought that maybe the FCRs of the crfs have different adjustments and are from different producer but in the and I couldent found out what goes rong

The general consensus here is that these oversize pump covers do little if anything to help with the fuel delivery. Many will restrict or limit the accelerator pumps squirt and even remove it altogether (Dale Lineaweavers kit). You have now probably increased the volume of fuel the pump delivers and are overly rich. You may want to reduce the pump squirt and richen the needle jet either by replacing it or raising the needle. Dales kit works well with the 550 and 650 but absolutely requires complete accelerator pump removal.

You might do better with telling us a little more about the specs
in your carb? You should try this:

50 pilot jet
std needle? obdvt=3rd clip up from bottom
2 to 2 1/2 open on fuel screw
162 main jet

This set up even made dirtrider's staff happy!

I still use the AP with a Lineaweaver needle in my 650. I did restrict the stroke though as it was a bit too much like hard work with the standard stroke. Without, there is a bit of a delay, so some AP is good.

A pic of my mod is here:

Others do it differently.

I can't quote my jetting as I've yet to pull the carb down after it was dynoed and jetted to suit a muffler mod. The dyno guy was very complimentary of the Lineaweaver needle.

There is a copy of the dyno curves in my gallery too. 63 equivalent Dynojet hp at the knobs makes for a fun dirt bike.

I'm with you Steve.DL's kit with the AP but with the pump squirt restricted to sub 1 sec.Same mod.Works best for the 550 I found.

Thanks for reply guys!!! :)

The truth is that I didnt search it a lot with carburator settings because the installation manual of this aftermarket APC talks about simple bolt on without changeing everything but includes one filler for adjusting the stroke clearence of AP in case you have change it.This filler adjust it into factory settings 0.20 mm if I am right.
So in the end the best I can do is to buy a Lineaweaver jetting kit and restrict the AP?Steves idea sounds goods also.

The settings i have mentioned are not off the cuff or from some graff they are from
several years of owning one & racing it at a expert level with 0 problems.
You see what i have mentioned is something you can do for very little coin
& is going to certainly be at a level that since you had to ask will be above the
tallent you are bringing to the table.I in desert is simillar to you in smo asking
everything from what it has to offer with excellent rideability as well as reliability.
I'll try to be a little more humble the next time the gallery scoffs.Good luck!

BOSS,

I am sure that in this forum the only think I cant hear is cuff and I am very happy since I discover all of you guys!!!!
I am not an enginer,I am just a youuuuung berger that loves to take care of his husa and feel very comfortable with all this help from you!
About my carb settings I dont know the exact because in approx 20 hours I bought and install a full silmoto exhaoust system. After trying adjust the carb only from fuel screw and without any progress I get it to my othorized mechanic. He told me that it was very very difficult to adjust it because the exhoust mufler has a big inlet and small outlet diameter so the ballance of gases current influenced fom that. The only effect in driving it was a small step close to 6000 rpm.I am not sure but the position of the needle is 1 or 2 clics down from top and the jettings are the original with some adjustment in fuel screw.Mechanic explain me also that the quick shot cant work with husa engines.SO after that I was currius to ask whats up with theese patent because it is said that fits to all fcr carbs and realy some friends install it and works nice but as I understand not with husabrgs. But I will try to test your settings to my berg BOSS next time I will be engaged with carb.

sorry for any mistakes or for difficult to understand language
