Hi!!

is the swingarm the same on enduro as is on supermotard?? i have problems with tires. o bougt a michelin pilot road 160/60 17 but the chain grabs on the tire so it´s not possible to have 160 back??

Not the same part numbers in the part catalog, but how different...?

Off road: 800.04.030.144
SuMo: 800.04.030.244

Do you have a 4.25inch or 5.0inch rim?

With the 4.25 rim you typically run a 150/60/17 tire. Depending on the tire manufacturer 160's on a 4.25 rim sometimes do/don't rub on the chain.

With the 5.0 rim you typically run a 160/60/17 tire.

A wider tire size is not automatically a better tire for your bike. Proper tire sizing is based on the rim size in use.

Size does matter...

General rule of thumb with respect to sportbike 17 inch rim, tire sizes...

RimSize TireSize
3.0 110 Front
3.5 120 Front
4.0 150 Rear
4.5 160 Rear
5.0 170 Rear
5.5 180 Rear
6.0 190 Rear

1) shim out the sprockets-old trick

2) get a knife and carve 2mm off the edge of the tyre-looks cool as well!

no excuses accepted

i have 5" rim and 160 tire back, but the chain hooks on to the tire so i think the only way is to buy a 150 tire and put that on my 5" rim so i spare the chain from ware out in foretime

hehehehe i have already carved 12mm off the tire on the chain side :D

I run a 160 on my 05 FS450 I cut the tire and I turned the chain adjusters around and used a longer chain.
