I know I`m a little late on this so bare with me.Today I got the bike running.I might have to readjust my carb. but so far it seems about right.The only problem I had was while making the 3rd lap around the yard{the boss is going to kill me}was the clutch cable broke.I will have to get a longer one.The old one was just about to short and at the adjuster that threads through the side,it was in a bind and that broke it.I shouldn`t complain though,since that was the orginal cable that was on it when I got the bike.I will let you know as I get to them.Take care and keep the rubberside down.

wildbill;
glad to hear you are up and running.
if you could get a photo of the brackets for the motor adaption i would like to see it.
tuts

Did you stamp made in Sweden on them?
Just kidding.I would like to see some pics.
I had a clutch cable brake once.I was at the
grocery store on a dual sport ,in gear ,reving it
up for some friends.That one could have been on
americas funnist vidios!Fortunatly there were no
camcorders back then.

mounting brackets

I wished I had a way to send pictures but that is way over my head.I will tell you what I used.I used 2 left motor mount brackets off of 2 old Suzuki TC 100s.They are shaped like a streched out triangle with mounting holes in the corners.I didn`t measure them but a guess is 3" by 2".I had to add shims in between the mounts and the engine to get a tight fit but it worked out OK.The brackets were already painted so they don`t stand out.I can try to answer any questions if you like.Take care and keep the rubberside down.

Today I changed my oil and cleaned the oil filter.I`am starting to get the knack kickstarting the bike with my left foot{with the aid of a milkcrate to stand on}.The only problem I have had is a cable repair{the nipple keeps pulling off}I started the bike,clicked the choke off,pulled the clutch in and it stayed in.Well I fixed it again but by the time I got done I was out of the mood.It will be warmer later on this week and then I will try it again.The old oil had shiney specks in it looked like brass and the filter had a larger piece of alumum on it.I honestly think this engine is stronger than the old one.Take care and thanks.

progress report/problem

Hello once again{sounds like a soap opera :lol: }I have stumbled into a problem.The bike starts between 3-9 kicks when cold.I let it warm up but when I put it in gear to pull out it dies and will not start back.I usually quit after 9 kicks.I think the problem is carb related.I`am going to check into it tomorrow.The clutch is adjusted right.I need to ride but this thing is more than a pain :twisted: .Any help,advice would be appreciated.I know its something I`am over looking but what?Carb adjustment more than likely.I have cooled off some since :lol: starting the bike.I need to get the starting and running constant.Thanks I have had a bad day.

tomorrows list

OK I know the air filter is clean.More than likely I will have to pull the carb but first I will check the plug and see what it looks like and then go from there.I will check out the carb anyway because something is not right and give it a good cleaning while I`m into it.Wonder if the choke could hang up that would answer some questions.Right now I`m just guessing.Going to get rested up for all the fun and excitement tomorrow.Will let you know what I found.Take care and keep the rubberside down.

Damnit Jim, we need that bike running!!

:rofl:

In all seriousness, we need to hear that you've ridden it(official rides only, no yard donuts).

I hope you're up and running tomorrow. If not, start a new thread w/your problems, and we'll see what we can do.

[marq=left]We're counting on you![/marq]

thanks,
