Problems fe570 2012

Just got back from a great ride in the peaks but half way through the day my bike suddenly lost all of it's top end power and was cutting out. Was also misfireing. Bike has only done 10 hours. Haven't had chance to strip it down yet. But was going to drain the fuel and clean the fuel pump. Any1 else had this problem or any idea what it is as I'm no mechanic. And my knowledge of 4 strokes is poor.

99% its the in-line fuel filter that comes in 2012 models. I have the same bike and experienced the same. I was told by my official husaberg seller to remove the filter and the bike has been running fine since then :)

To remove the filter loosen the fuel hose next to the throttle body and you will find it. I recommend to remove the fuel tank to get more room to work. Then when the filter is removed use a jubilee clip to secure the hose back on the throttle body.

The filter was installed to protect the injector but it swells when it gets warm. So the bike starts fine when cold and then when it gets warmer it slowly restricts the fuel, first the bike start to backfire and splutter and loose the power on the higher rews, then it slowly gets worse until the bike stops and wont start until the filter cools down again (I pushed my bike quite some distance, twice...)

From what I know KTM/Husaberg knows about this issue.
