Hey, has a fe570 09 mod.

it suddenly stopped for me the other day and found out the day after the battery was the problem.

The bike started after new battery, but now it starts, but only for a few seconds.

has anyone an idea what it could be?

Is it always the same timing on the stops? Does it happen when you move the throttle? Do you get any ecu flash codes? Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you try to restart it?

If yes on first maybe stuck/shorted roll over sensor?
If yes on second maybe tps out of position?
If yes on third please share!
If yes on maybe fuel related?

big thank you for your feedback

no it can vary a little but about 3-7 seconds and then dies, resumes easily, but the same thing happens ..

can provide gas, no cutting or the like.

no flash codes .. and I can hear the pump running normally. at least before the start, has not been listening about the fuel pump runs when the engine is started? but think so ...

has only owned the bike for a few months, so not so great knowledge about the biken yet. but have gone without problem since, changed oil and everything looks absolutely top out, no metal in oil or similar

maybe the battery is still the problem or ?

it is a filter in the fueltank? i have not check fuelfilters or something in the injector? but very strange since it start fine and yes.

If you tap the start button so the system start but the starter doesnt crank the engine you will, the first time, hear the fuel pump prime the system with pressure. If you then start the engine and stop it there should still be pressure in the fuel hose. In your case let the engine die.. So if you then tap the start button again there should only be a very short sound from the fuel pump as the system is already primed. If it is not that way and the pump work as much as the first time it might be that the pump doesnt deliver enough. And as you have a -09 that could be the case, they changed to a better pump in -11.

Or it could be clogged filters yes. You have two in the tank (one mesh under the fuel pump and a normal fuel filter in the midle of a hose). Then there is also one in the quick connect but I doubt that one is the problem.

I dont think it is the injector as then the engine should be able to idle atleast. This seems to be that the fuel system cant deliver enough when the engine is running and when the pressure is too low in the hose the engine stops.

So tap it and listen to the pump prime. That might give us a clue.

tried as you said, and where everything seemed as it should be, built up pressure on first tap, and then tap on the die button, it started again without any prime loading ..?

you think i should begin with cleaning the filters in the fueltank?

it could maybe be the sensor you talk about ? i feel it die around same time , every time

Sorry I didn't answer last night, I fell asleep as I was already in my bed...

Good question though. The roll over sensor is under the battery box and has a connection, and the easiest way is to lift up the batterybox (no need to remove the battery). If you want more space you can loosen the subframe, but it's not really necessary. It would be nice to get to the other end of the cable but it disappears into the loom. So it might be a good thing to check the loom for any broken/shorted cables too as there are a few places that can happen.

Thanks for excellent feedback, i will try this later, I strongly believe that it may be the rollover sensor. but its good to have it roll sensor disconnected or is it a way and rebooting it?

It was the roll sensor. and now it starts and run ;)

but still a problem, the engine runs hot just after 1 minute, and it come up flash code 1xlong 3x short? what could this be? wonder that it suddenly becomes warm, have not had any problem with it before - any ideas?

Intake air temperature.... Your bike is really acting up now. Check the cables/connections. That sensor is the white thingy in the air boot.

But good to know it was the roll over sensor, that was my first thought :) The roll over sensor is just a simple weight (ball I think?) that connects a circuit. So you should be able to hear it move inside (if not give it some love).
