powershift VX or slipper clutch

hi spanner at 475 bucks hope its worth it . I remember these about ten or more years ago you could put them together from a kit from an electronics store for a tenth of that price and that was then look around there for a cheaper version would work exactly the same might have wires coming out of a matchbox though and not the pretty black one

Interesting but not an alternative to a slipper clutch. Slipper aids most under braking and corner entrance. It reduces rear wheel hop and chatter under heavy engine braking.

or just press your kill switch as you change up.

never tried it myself but know a few 125 riders that do it for flat out full throttle gear changes.

Hi Spanner,

a power/quickshifter is working only on upshifts and on full throttle only,
whereas a slipperclutch helps you everytime on downshifting (as supermotomike mentioned above)

If you´d ask me: a powershifter is only good for real supermoto-RACING.
wheras a slipperclutch is a very nice help for every kind of riding (enduro, MX,supermoto Street & Racing) -
and it makes riding also safer.

Thanks guys for the replies, Is there a slipper clutch that is best, I see there are a few different ones available?

how do the slippers work?????? can they break on acceleration or is it only under engine braking????
