just took three hours to change the rear light on my FE570. I didn't think much to the lay out of that rear end. anyone else found that area around the battery to be poorly planned and laid out. shouldn't take three hours to change a rear light should it?

When you have done it as many times as I have it seems simple now. It's definitely tight in that area, I modified it a bit with our replacement sub frame tank so there is a bit more room, but, you still have to lay it back.

Easiest way is to pull the tank and get it out of your way, pull the muffler, loosen the the subframe bolts and remove the top left one, lay the sub frame back, then pull the batt box, and drop the light holder, make your change and re assemble. Takes me about 35 minutes to install a sub frame tank.
