I recently got one from DCR. But i'm sure you tried there. Don't suppose you have access to a lathe?

well yes but where do you get the MATERIAL!

Hey Taffy - why have you started a new thread when you're always going on about continuing existing ones to keep the info in one place.

Anyway - Owners doc / amber alert / kick start boss bends...photo shows a bent boss but the thing is, this boss appears to have what can only be described as a sprung ball bearing which would locate into a recess in the female part of the lever.. mine does not have that.???

Anyone else ??.

PS. I once nes a uk cpmpany called "norse rubber products"...I'll google them. They supplied every which way kind of rummer & plastic.

hi james

well in a way it is different! i'm also getting pretty miffed at this time of year when nobody seems to be bothered. so i seek their attention with the headline. most threads last 4-6 posts this time of year i'm afraid.

I used a plastic mini flag pole and cut about a half inch of it and sanded it down to fit.
I found mine at a local Wal-Mart. The mother of all invention...............

Yea, I thaught it might be slightly different to my post as soon as I hit the send button.

Anyway, downloaded the 02 parts manual - saw the O ring. Do you think this would do it & wher's the best place to get one from. No-ones going to sell me 10p's worth online.

Did you see what I was on about in the owners doc.?? ball locator.

i can normally find an o ring in my box of sins somewhere! it could be the same size as the one on the end of the gearbox output shaft or the end caps for the rocker arms!

i'll try and have a look sometime.

Most machine/fitting/turning/engineers shops should have lengths of nylon stock for making stuff. Head on down and see what they have.

Taffy,

You might want to pick up some Delrin rod from this place: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/m ... rinrod.php

It's a fantastic jobber that has many types of materials of various sizes and shapes. I realize that they are on this side of the pond, but, maybe an email to them would reveal a sister ship out your way. Wait here it is: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/intlreps. ... tedkingdom

Delrin is some pretty fantastic stuff, it can be machined, threaded etc.... And it is tough!!

I got a 8mm (0.5") round stock plastic from a hobby store, you can find the same at hardware stores (NOT LOWES OR HOME DEPOT). then turn on a lathe. i still have the dimensions from the original one.
