Plastic scratches repair, how?

Thanks katoomed00, i just bought the KIT from ebay. I will post here if it works :) with 'Before & After' photos :p

Too late now, but prevention is better than cure. 3M make a h/duty clear plastic film you can stick to your plastic that will protect them.

I don't bother with the repair kits ( a lot of work for poor results) Rather just ride her till she looks too scruffy then replace with new ones.

After washing my bike i always spray some Silicone spray over the plastics, the stuff you use to shine your cars dash. It hides all the scratches and gives it that wet look.

Thats a good idea actually!!

a quick fix is to scrape the big gouges with a single sided razor blade to remove peeling and put some mop and glow [floor cleaning product] on a rag, full strength, and coat it several times. wait for each coat to dry fully before applying the next coat. also makes clean up after riding easy.

Close blow for a moment with hot air gun and the hairy surface goes away. Must be cleaned very well before that.

I've used Plastic Renew with good results but start out with a finer sandpaper unless scratches are real bad, then go coarser as needed. Once you put the liquid on it looks great!
