So im planning to buy -07 fs650e, the bike is driven for 240h, not raced, only road used. The engine was maintanced at 200h (new piston, new connecting rod, bearings etc etc)

But, is there any specific weak spots in the engine that i shoud give closer look when doing testdrive ? Read some horror stories about cracked crankshafts and shattered pistons than have destroyd the whole engine. :/

no, they are a really good engine. cam chains can be worn in 2-3 years but other than that they are really good.

Yeap yeap :D What can i say... I bought it :)

But but but, now i have few questions. About the gas valves. Theres one regulary looking gas valve on the right side of the bike whit On / Off possitions. On the right side there is somesort of different valve, that has like fingerbolt on it, that you can screw ~3rounds. Both of these valves are connecteded to the carburator.

Second. I think the bike runing on bit too rich mixture. the engine blasts quit a bit and shoots fire from the exhaust when engine braking. It revs up quite nicely, but it also feels like the acceleration pump is coming bit too late. if you give it too much gas, it stumbles.

Thrid :)

The bike has Remus mufler, but is there anyway i can figure out if the whole exhaust is from remus ? I compared the pictures between my bike, and the dealers showroom picture, and on the showroom the bike has chromed exhaust, mine has more matte look.

The fuel petcocks. The one with the knob is a replacement, no big deal. Just make sure they are both on.

As for the jetting, I would recommend one of taffys jetting kits. You can PM him through the site or purchase from ebay.

The Jet-set means same thing when people say they have modded acceleration pump on theyr bikes?

2 Petcocks are required, one for each side of the tank.

agree that the flaming should be down to the Pilot Screw (PS) under the carb.
