My first upcoming Berg and I can't even wait for it! :bounce:

Coming from -06 GSX-R 600 that I find the most boring bike on earth after 4 years of street riding. On a track it's a complete animal, but track days are too far away where I live and costs fortune to even ride one full day.
I made a mistake to test ride new FS570, and I was sold immediately.

My dealership hooked me up black edition 570 with the price of regular bike. 5" rear, akra slip-on, black plastics, cnc covers, carbon heat shield, frame and fork protectors, axle sliders etc etc.

As it is going to be my first bike with pretty much race ready motor that requires regular maintenance, I'd like to know how I should treat it correctly. I know that oil changes should be every 5hrs with my riding style. What kinda oil I can put in it safely? I used Motul 300V 15W-50 on my gixxer, but it's hella expensive oil to dump after few hours!

I started using Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40 and dropped oil changes after Motul from ~6000km to 2500km because it's mineral oil used for heavy duty diesel motors. Gearbox works better with cheap Delvac and I've heard from racers that they also use tractor oils on SM bikes. Can the Berg take Delvac or should I just use some $$$$ expensive ester based synth oil like Motul?

Fan kit? Do I need one? With coolant I think I stick with regular purified water + water wetter combo that worked fine with gixxer.

Anything else I need to know before I'll pick my berg in a few weeks?

Oh way cool! I love that look and I'd probably get a lot of tickets if I had one of those so I'll stick to the 450. On the oil, I use Rotella (Shell) 10w 50, it's affordable and seems to hold up well. But when it comes to oil everyone has an opinion. :)

Very nice! My ol'school fs650 just posted a win in Oregon Super Bikers open asphalt. First time in the winners circle ;)

That... is one sweet looking motorcycle!

Waiting and waiting and waiting.... :)

Hopefully I'll get it in next week. I ordered today Shoei VFX-W helmet, Astars octane s-moto gloves and oakley mayhem goggles. Can't decide what kinda pants I'm getting. Need also leather suit and sidi crossfire boots, but maybe later.

Nicce BlackBerg! Does have any of the street equipment? (i.e.brake light/hi-low beam headlamp) Don't want or need turn siganls.

Yes, it's fully street legal with lights and signals.
Basically same bike as normal FS570 but with all the bells and whistles from factory (black plastics, 5" rear, akra, etc. etc.)

Slightly off topic.... But I'd love to hear how that 5" wheel fits on the rear. I have one on my FE 570, and the tire rubes the chain somethin' fierce!!! :-? I'm hoping it's just the P.O.S. /150 Shinko I have on the rear now???

Thanks

Brandon
