Piston scratches

Hi
I have a husaberg fs 650 2007-2008
I saw little metals on magnet and i dont hear it very well.
Yesterday i decide to open the engine to find the problem.
I thought the crankshaft bearings is the problem....but not!

Then....i saw scratches on piston and on cylinder.
I dont know the reason for that damage.....mayde anyone knows?
I will try to fix cylinder and i will buy a new piston
but firstly i must know the reason for the scratches
to not make it again at the new parts.

All the bearings are looking like new....
the balancer shaft , gear box, crankshat are looking very well without any signs.

BUT

I am not sure about the situation of conrod. it moves right -left enough but up- down i think just a little and i dont know if it is normal.
so....if i must fix the conrod van i change only the bearing OR i must buy the kit??

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH :)

it is still 90% probably metal from the bottom end.
big end - doubtful
balancer bearing - second to the mains
the mains - very likely.

1) check crank axial float left to right and measure accurately with the heel of a vernier gauge. this will tell us a lot.

2) try and hold the con rod against one wall and then rock.
2a) hold the crank by the neck of the rod and slap directly upwards. you'll feel solid or a 'double tap'.

a tight crank means that the shims can be burnt and ground out.
mains don't always go on the rollers they go on THE END of the rollers. they roll and grind on the ends and that is the metal that comes out.

ball or roller mains?

i am sorry but with my english i dont understand very well and the google translate dont help me.

for 1....you want to close the case only with the crankshaft
and measure the distance right and left that crankshaft moves. right????

for 2a......with this way i check the conrod and i feel a double tap. I hear something when i slap.

what is main??
maybe you mean crankshaft bearing?
i dont understand very well sorry about this.

if you mean the crankshaft bearings.....that is roller bearings but if you mean something else please explain me to tell you! THANKS

1. correct
2a. you need to put a new pin and bearing in. possibly a good engineer will say: the pin is perfect just get me the bearing. but he must be a good engineer not a ********.

mains = main bearings

yes, I mean roller bearings
