Pilot Jet Sizing

I have a question in regards to the Pilot Jet size in the Dellorto Carb for 02 husabergs. I was running rich with a Main Jet size of 175, needle on the 3rd setting, Pilot jet is a 33. I moved the needle jetting up a notch to the 2nd notch and now its running very lean (Plug is white). If I install a Pilot Jet size 35 will this get me to where I need to be or should I drop the needle down to the 3rd notch again and install say either a 170 or 168 Main Jet??

wow!

well we don't know your engin size, altitude, mods to the bike. also the emulson tube is everything in a dell orto so you need to pull that and tell what you have. i had a 195MJ for my 400 but i had a DR266 and the bike was being strangled - i know this now!

also mention what you do to the needle and not the groove as it gets confusing.

so "i raised the needle a clip and then lowered it a clip" is understandable. no offence just trying to get a handle on what you're doing and saying.

my advice ist go by feel. if it felt better then never mind the plug colour!

the PJ will only help at low revs and the needle much higher so you can't band-aid one with the other. come back again and we'll tell you more....
