wanted :D :D

as some of you know from a link i pasted my best (racing) mate had a horrific accident in the isle of man and i'm glad to say that he is now outta the coma and recovering fantastically well.

coming from 'pokenhood' country-worksop-in the midlands i used to go to the IOM every year and meet with sean who runs the R & S dyno also from worksop.

i'm going up to his dyno again in a fortnight and will have a few runs before moving on to see my freind.

my question is "can i blag any of the following for testing?"

an exhaust system for the 400/450 = akroprovic/big gun?
a G2 tornado cam?
08 cam?
i'm even interested in another cylinder head with preferably the 37/30 valves in?
if you have anything i can test like a tailpipe-let me know!

i'm not looking for it to be free but if i'm borrowing it'd better be good!
shame there aren't any LX2's about

regards

Taffy

Hold on there Taffy, dont waste all your time testing pipes, heads and all that other stuff up there in' pokenhood county' just try a new BRISK spark plug.If you dont believe me just check out the BRISK spark plug thread.........nsman

Got a GW G3 cam (unused) for sale.

You will need to up the compression ratio with it though or it will only lose power.

Exhaust is the first thing, go full system FP from Belgium are the best.

cheers lloyd

but you won't tempt me to buy it to try it!

how much is it as a unsellable peice of (beautiful) junk to a poor man who has absolutely no need for it whatsoever!

do you still have the receipt?

Taffy

£150 it has run about 10 hours.

It has the autodecompression recess also but as I found out it will need a JP piston of higher than standard compression. Power gains are in the upper range as the LX1 is.

Bigger exhaust valves will also help the top end.

ps The GW G2 cam ain't like the Lx2 I'm affaid. The GW G2 has the same intake profile of the G3 (lift of 10.35mm and v.large duration). It does not have concave flanks like the 53 cam though which is good for the rockers.

If u want the G3 givusa PM.

the G3 isn't considered suitable for the 400/450.

thanks anyway.

Taffy
