Went for a rideout in the Peak District (England) on Saturday. Started out from home at 6:30 and drove up to Derbyshire, the morning was beautiful with clearing skies, swirling mists and great views emering as the day dawned.
There were 8 riders in my group and two other groups with approx 8 in each of them. We rode differing trails to stay apart and rarely crossed paths until meeting up for lunch etc.

Here we are at the top of Stanage Edge, we stopped to watch the para gliders throwing themselves off the peak....mad!!

We rode onto to a few more of the nice climbs and decents in the area including, ChapleGate, Hollingsclough and Royceclough. If you know the area you'll know what some of them are like. We also did a few lanes I'd never seen before, up near Chaple-en-le-Frith.
Chaplegate in the fading light was 'interesting' to say the least!

We had a breakdown or two, all to do with a CCM and it's exhaust.

The Berg was weeping a small amount of oil from above the exhausts but this has turned out to be a slighltly loose rocker cover, so easily fixed.

Here's the Berg waiting for the CCM to be fixed....again...:)

Taffy, There always an open invite for you matey!! That goes for any UHE members/posters. We have 3-4 Bergs in LARF now...:)

It's not a guided tour, it's my club www.larf-online.com. We tend to limit the numbers in each group to 8 (but run a number of groups on the same day) of which one is the nominated run leader and he carrys all the maps etc and knows the route (generally) and then theres a nominated back marker who can help stragglers, crashers or breakdowns. The backmanrkers usually knows the route and can get up to the leader if need be. We also try and keep the novices together, the medium group together and the nutters....well their just the nutters, they'll always do what they want anyway..:D

this is the bunch my old boss started. i went for a ride with them on 22/12 and it was fun but 38 riders out together is just too much!

of the four in the photo, the guy on the left was paul, one of my bosses and next to him is baldzilla (barry) who i took my first tour with.

they centre around luton/beds/herts.
