Parts to '03 - the end is nigh?

Not sure what is going on but I was told yesterday that you can't get rocker shafts for the >2004s. I'm checking to see if that is for good but that of course affects every Husey going back to 1988 if that is true.

However it is worth pointing out that IF I recall rightly the manufacturers only have to supply parts for 7 years after the date of manufacture and well, we're there now...

Planned obsolescence always catches up to you.

I am sure Taffmeisters could source some bearings at least if those go away too.

Dr. C (or Taffmeisters) could possibly make some better than stock.

An 04 head could be used on the 01-03's me thinks. Wonder how an 04 head would match up to a 2000 and earlier.

read my lips...no new ta... I mean...read my threads I wrote here last week that a ktm 520/400/45 etc head should fit straight onto a husaberg pre 2001. the head gaskets are identical and all appears to fit fine.

maybe in that case we can use KTM rocker shafts?

god I'm good. sometimes I even surprise myself!
