I have some stiff wire rods coming with a loop at each end of about 1/2" (12mm) across and one slight kink in it? anyone know what this would have fitted back in the day? it is if i recall 10-12" long?

there will be others! :eek::eek:

I'll look at photos to see if that is possibly it. ta!

haven't found a photo so perhaps someone who has can give me a link.

I had a green cardboard gasket that looked like a 50mm circle with two half moon rings, one off each side? it's not from the engine i don't think?

I had two battery box types: one type had hooking points and the other didn't?

in the 1989-1996 parts manual there are two mistakes.
page 52 is a list of the wrong part codes compared to the photo above.

page 34 is a list of the wrong parts too! it says 'rear wheel' when it should be coolant and exhaust.

speedo cable guide?

I've seen the wire in the schematic Ned, its on page 18a and 19 of the 1989-1990 parts manual. it loops back and forth 4 times...incredible and judging by the diagram, the wire could have done with being 2 feet long!

I'm pretty sure I have white faced and black faced speedos coming?

anyone know what is what with these as the parts book gives nothing?

sorry about all the questions but I'm researching and must ask as I find.....

I have some clamps coming that would wrap around 3 sides of a box section swing arm I thought and on the 4th side you screw a plate across to join up. that makes it a kind of sidestand clamp to the swing arm?

i can't see that they ever did anything like that?

yes, your right. I'm getting ahead of myself here!

good to see you're still about Log!

found it. it is indeed a sidestand bracket that mounts straight on the swinger! items 45 & 52 page 11 of the 89-96 parts manual.

the speedo (actually odo) wire loop that i remember was quite small and wrapped around the plastic piece that gripped the fork

we need someone with a genuine parts manual from 1989-1996 to step forward. the copy I have has at least three errors in it.

anyone got one and can do this?
