Overheating

I have a 2011 570. Replaced the fuel pump last summer, solved the hot starting issue. Put a snowbike kit on it this winter and it now has overheating problems. I placed a fan on it and it seemed to work for awhile, then bike just dies again. It will start right up, but I can't go anywhere with out it dying unless I wait for 10-15 minutes and cool it down. Made it back to the trailer, no blink codes. Got home, started the bike up and it flashed 9 long blink codes. Bike has only 30 hours on it. AT my wits end. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

seems the husabergs came with quite a few niggles from factory hehe
I herd crankcase ventilation pipe getting blocked can cause over heating? Am not too sure tbh.
If you have coolant and a water pump it should do its job.

what is the snowbike kit?

Timbersled kit, coolant and water pump seem to be working, everything, including the radiator is hot. Maybe the vent tube is getting blocked??? IDK

Thanks for the FI error code link. I've looked at that, I'm sure that it is a 9 long blink codes, that is why I'm perplexed. I"ve go to start somewhere, so replacing the sensor is where I'm going to start and go from there.
Thanks

You might put a simple $30 water temp monitor on it and verify if it is overheating. If it is, you might try swapping the lower temp switch for the fan. It is the plug with 2 wires out of it on the bottom outside of the right rad.
You can get one that turns on ~12F sooner via an 1985 bmw 325e fan switch.

Hi guys I had same issue apparently common fault , the bmw temp switch is a good idea I ordered one today but connections look different !, do you have to mod connections ? We're looking to ride across Spain Pyrenees this year and I'm not happy with the bike

connections should be the same, but if not, it really is just 2 spade connections making an open or a closed electrical connection. if it screws in the tank, you would be fine. Keep in mind that for any given year, there might be 2 different temp ranges for that sensor. make sure you don't put in the higher temp one, which might be the same as your stock husaberg sensor.

That's great , i hope this works .
Really love the 390 for distance work but lost faith in her at the last enduro when she got hot and wouldn't re-start .
I was also reading about the reflective tape trick ?, does it help if so I'll do that also .
