Hello guys!
I have ran into a problem and need som expert advise!

The story:
I notised that the engine was pushing some oil out of chrank ventilation hose, not much but a little stain on the garage floor after a ride, I did not do anything about it and ran probably 4-5hours and then changed oil and filter thinking that the problem would go away, but it didn´t of course and I looked in the radiator to see that it was empty! Well refilled it and started her up with huge bubbles in the radiator and on the side of the cylinder.
Yesterday I fitted a new head gasket and today i took it for a ride just to see small bubbles in the radiator and dripping of oil from vent hose ;(
What can be the problem? I used 60Nm for the cylinder head bolts.

My bike is an Joakim Ljunggren 450 -07 with 80hours runtime.

And sorry for my bad English.

Is your vent hose going to your airbox?

Is your bike leaking oil and/or water from the weep hole?

Hello!

Vent hose is not attached to anything, just a hose maybe 70cm long connected to vent and down on right side of the engine, and in the radiator the pressure pushes water through radiator cap (1.8bar) and out the weep hole/hose
When the bike is idleing there is a bubble of exchaust in the radiator aprox every 20 sec.

Regards Niclas

How much water do you have in your cooling system?
If you have too much it will spill out the overdue at the weep hole and radiotor leak line

Yesterday I talked to a husaberg mechanic and he told me to torque the top end bolt a little bit harder, I used 75nm and after a quick ride last night maybe 10min it seems that the problem is fixed! Well not the oil in crank vent hose but that is the oil ring that has given up due to heat accordingly to him.
Do you think that it is safe to use my bike? I don't want to split the engine only for the oil ring.

Regards Niclas

If I remember correctly the engine might push out some oil through the crank vent if it's slightly overfilled, so at least check the oil level before you split the engine.

Engine oil

You'll need 1200ML of oil to re-fill from a complete rebuild. But an oil change alone needs just 900cc to bring it to the lower oil window lower level. It's very important that the oil stays at the bottom of the window ***, oddly enough, they are prone to overheating... Oil pressure 15psi @ 3,000rpm (Lineaweaver).

Hello!

This topic seemed to be the right place for my oily questions as well.
So, I don't excactly know how hot the engine gets after a little ride or idle, but I somehow think that it's picking up heat because after a while, when the engine gets warm, oil starts to leak from the top of the engine. Im not sure if it's the right word for it, but my parts manual says that it's rockerarm cover.
Anyway, I have the radiator filled with cooling liquid, and hte gaskets should be just fine.
Can some one help why it is leaking? Or is it just normal stuff that "belongs" to these kind of bikes.

Thanks!
