Whew. Ok. Better now. :)

First, I admit I have been stalking the page for some time....lots of helpful info here, and a great bunch of people.
that being all said....I just picked up a 2006 Husaberg FE450e.....I am most excited, as you may have gathered. :) a little about me, without boring you... I am a 43 year old who lives in SW Ontario, Canada....I have been riding since I was 9 (boy am I tired), only to stop when some dork hit me with a large hunting four wheeler. what was it hunting? Apparently my leg.....they saved it, although it was an optional off for me, and I am glad they did, as it works well enough for me to take another shot at riding after a ten year hiatus. So here I am, a damaged older fart, trying to be a tenth the rider I was at 32. I was racing modified Yamaha WR400 four strokes, and they were..well...ok. But I have no desire to race anymore, just go out with my two little girls on their bikes and make a day of it.
I bought this Husaberg from a gentleman who had little riding experience and less at maintenance I feel. It has a fresh (200km old) top end replaced as it was burning oil and it bothered him. Judging by the jug sleeve he gave me, I can see why, it has a serious score. Runs well now, and after two hours with some simple green and a hose, it almost looks clean.
So, as my initial questions, if I may......

1) where do I get turn signals?
2) where do I score a snazzy factory switch for them and the light?
3) Why are there two bolts coming out of the rear swingarm? they are not factory, almost look lik they are there for a passenger foot peg??
4) How does one re"tweak" the rear subrame to one side? Mine has a bit of a shift to the "passenger" side..... any thoughts?

Thanks for all in advance!!

Turn signals and switch. Try any dealer or Baja Designs.
2 bolts on swingarm?? Need a picture. No passenger pegs.
No subframe...thats the frame. Probable not bent, but maybe the parts bolted to it not aligned.Let's get a picture of that as well. The frames can be bent, but it does not happen very often and takes one hell of a get off.

If the rear of the frame is bent you could try what I did to my Suzuki GS 500.
Got a great deal on it with a bent rear section of frame.
I removed all parts from the area exposing the tubing.
I then chained the main section of frame to a steel pole.
I then used a large racheting strap and began pulling the frame from another pole opposite
side.
It took a few hours as I didn't want to mess it up. I needed to overpull it many times and
watch it return to a position. So overpulling it is key, but not too much.
I ended up overpulling it quite a bit and it still came back.
From about 2 inches off to the right I ended up about 1/2 inch off to the right and was
happy with that.
I was afraid of pulling it too far and end up twisting it and making it worse.

Hope this helps with a bent frame,

Pollo

ah yes, Baja Designs....I remember them!
So, being as easily amused as I am, and having a plethora of 8mm sockets....well, I stripped it all. :)
and yes, it is a frame...and bent...well... it WAS. I am glad to know I am not the only crazy guy with ratcheting straps and such...I blocked the rear frame off on one side, measured it all and started tensioning in a cross pattern off the swingarm and opposite top rail of the frame. Pulled it tight to my block of wood and went further, slowly.....shazaam! all fixed! Ok, it took about three hours, but it worked. :D
I then methodically cleaned everything....checked over everything...all seems good. Gotta get a book and figure out how to check the valves, but everything else is tight, now lubed and ready to rock!
It would appear that my bike doesn't have any pig tails or anything for the signals, so I assume I need the whole shooting match.
Also, I note that there is a fairly healthy stumble when the throttle is wicked open fast, and a slew of backfires. I am going to assume I need to twidddle with the air mixture screw? Idles well and rolls on very strong. I suspect the gas could be spanky too, so it will be the first to go. My wifes beemer is always on empty...hehehehe. I am sure it can use some old Husaberg fuel.
thanks for the responses!!
Oh, and I am in the Sarnia area, Rick. I think I need to see IF I can ride still first! :) I am missing more than a few crucial body parts, but what the hell, I am game. ;)

Canuck, congrats!! NICE Ride man I like the pic .. looks like a clean bike!
Your love affair just beginning.. once you learn how to order parts from KTM and Husaberg it will be all over man. A radiator here, a wheel there... but your bike looks almost new..

Nice

thanks tiger! It looks even better now that I have it all cleaned the way I like em! :)
Soooo......teach me about ordering stuff! lol! :bounce:

Good to hear Captain.
Glad you got that frame staightened.
I figured it wouldn't be that difficult pulling the tubing over.
Just a little time setting it up right

Ordered some signals and a brembo front brake light switch plus a switching unit today. figured I should just do it and get it done. Also.....got it plated and insured today! whooohoo! God it is fun, such smooth forgiving power....love it!

so tell me. Can I run a 12v line off the battery, into a fuse, then into a flasher unit, to the switch and out to the blinkers? Could it be that simple???
