maximum deviation in the doc says that it's .03mm at the top and middle and .05mm at the bottom. .010mm is ok but .1mm is too much!

i bought an internal bore mic this week and checked three linars today. a good one i got back from langcourt had .01mm over the entire 92mm linar. but others had .03mm max. the piston then becomes the important part. get that right. all this is in the doc tolis under wear and tolerances and blueprinting.

brand new and yes i agree that you have to be good. i noticed that if you stop at each point and just move the DTI ever so slightly you get a 'best reading' at each point.

do i qualify now sir?

thanks taffy my crank right bearing fail i think from oil if make off the reed valve to make the crank place wait what ha pent; one more my idle shaft bearings it close type also the cam bearing so if by new i must by open or not ; end if the skf bearings fail what about to replace white *** bearings
regards and thank

did you buy a bore guage or bore mic? oxford one from cromwells by any chance? **** hot if its the one im thinking of, ive got on
tolis, i wouldnt pu *** bearings in a skateboard, bloody ***** quality, have seen many failures in even light industry applications.

off fleabay! not sure of the make but probably not fantastic. so far though - very pleased. its a bore gausge and not a mic.

tolis
the cam bearing = open on inside, closed on outside. but not important. wash bearing out first. intermediate shaft bearing. must have one seal. 1 or 2???? i have done both but factory have 2 x RS so maybe stick to this. i have no preference skf/***. when younger, *** was the best....

don't quite follow this; " i think from oil if make off the reed valve to make the crank place wait what ha pent;" please try again, however tonight = bed.

wieght is KG or LB (pounds ounces)

also happened is the other one.

ok mate no problem.

the balancer doesn't appeear to have been available for 2-3 years which i can't believe is true! but from 2007 my info shows that it's available again!

husabutt might help me here i hope but the bikebandit (USA) site gives part code 5910275001 and at a price of $300 USA bucks! my parts book however gives the code as 80030057100.

i hope this helps. i have PM'd you with info.

RE: counter balance

brnd new linar.

measured before fitment. totally round and true in all directions with no runout.

fitted in cases and pinched up less the crank assembly:

linar loses .02mm in width at the top compared to inline with the case split which didn't alter. so the 3 x 'O' rings made no difference. yet the mouth of the spigot did.

.03mm is the maximum runout on top and middle while .05mm is allowable at the base.
