Opportunity on a fs650c - feedback please

Hi all,

First time posting here, but I've read the forum for a couple of years. Anyway, it looks like I've got the opportunity to pick-up a FS650c and wanted some feedback.

Bit of background, I have never driven an FS650 only read about them (and their amazing stats). I owned a DRZ400 and then a SMC 625, both of which I felt were lacking and/or heavy. I'm also a road racer (not supermoto), and would exclusively run this bike at my local track (2.36km, with short front and back straights with 13 corners).

So my questions are, does anyone have experience running these as road racing bikes? If so, how are they?

Is there still a healthy market for FS650c if it doesn't suit me? (Especially where they aren't road legal) Suck to be stuck with a bike I didn't like and was tough to sell due to its inability to be registered for the street.

The bike in question shows 19.5hrs and looks mint. Any red flags to look for when/if I go to see it?

What would be a fair price for a bike like this, low hours, 15 years old (assuming good-great condition) etc etc? As there aren't many comparisons online.

Thanks in advance!

they are not much different to the standard FS650e. they will by now have been stripped 2-3 times.

it should start easily and have no metal shavings on the engine magnet.

cheers!
