Opinions on this piston. Worn?

I've been told my piston is at the end of its life.

However it looks barely worn. There are no big gouges and the crown looks good too. I'm wondering how it can be worn when the original machining lines can still be clearly seen? Surely if it was worn there would be marks.

This is the piston what do you guys think

I was amazed how good it looked considering it came out of a 2002 650

Time for a new one Greg.

Make sure you get the cyl honed for the new ring break in.

Oh, and make sure you address the cause of the vertical lines.

Worn. Change it. Measure cyl before you buy your new piston, might be youll need a B piston...

Cool. The liner has lost its round. So it new piston and new liner. Already bought new rings to fit

which piston would you guys buy to replace this one? been told i have to be careful not to take the compression to high as its kick start only and would struggle to start.

Prox is closest to stock and half the price or use stock Oem piston. Wossner looks to weak looking next to prox and Oem.

Wossner is the choice.

I wouldn’t run the ProX from the feedback I have received. The Wossner in my motard gets thrashed. Was recommended by many.

I'm using a Wossner 570 piston in my 628 trail bike it's the only one that has the right basic dimensions. I put it in backwards with os valves and the 08 cam

The pro x lasted 100 hrs .... 10k rpm maybe usually you could expect 200 hrs.
