now then folks, if you have an old broken ignition coil i would like to purchase it. please PM me with WYHG?

i am having to get a few repaired to better than new spec and i can hopefully also offer the service of modifying those that are around that want the service to a better advance curve for racing applications such as dirt or road.

firstly, i need to get a few old units in to start the circulation.

watch this space as i test the first couple which are 'repairs' to better than new....

i'm a little suprised (why i don't know!) that nobody is at all interested in this news? i mean come on, WTFiH?

a reprogrammed ignition module to suit racing, the redline you want, the type of racing you do?

apparently the dual curve would be softer than the soft and the full power a lot stronger. you will feel the difference.

that is all.

So Sorry Taffy,.... Just as everyone else !!!

I'm interested, who wouldn't be. But not untill the testing phase is over, cause I think you don't give them away for free.. ???

You test them, we use them, you make the profit.

Keep up the good work, always trying to improve things !

If I had a broken coil /cdi I would surely send it to you at no cost. I don't race merely trail ride but it would be nice to have a source for a rebuilt / remanufactured coil.

The profit potential may be small or large but since no one else is doing the research into such a specialized area and trying to bring us an alternative to a new $500 part for which production has ceased, we should applaud Taffy as we directly benefit from his efforts and if he turns a profit in the process all the better.

Perhaps someday in the future I will be running a Taffmeisters ignition module with a Sparks rewound stator. Hopefully soon!

And if I had a dud it'd be on the way. I have got a dud voltage regulator if you'd like that? Will these suit pre and post 99s?

Keep up the great work Taff,
Steve

hi folks

everyone turns a buck, whoever you are. its just that you're all asleep! i thought we'd be on our second page by now on this subject! i only have 5 stators and so getting them repaired is a nightmare and i never have any stock. was hoping that i could start out on a better foot this time.

this is for all post '99s steve.

basically this work has been done before and is reliable. the only thing different as it would be with anything is the application.

getting a coil repaired will be good news for everyone. by the way, they are being repaired to be electrex compatable.

it's also the end of over a year of work away from the site getting things sorted, tooled up and ready to go.

i think you must be talking to me anders right?

yes i have one in new zealand and about three people who "have tried everything else" but have yet to report in. i've given up the idea of repairing 'yours' i just swop them now and take the risk. if i come unstuck too often, i'll have to replan it but if it's too slow people won't bother i think.

having said that, i don't know what the alternatives are anymore.....

regards

Taffy
